Diversifying Your Funding Base: A Half-Day Workshop
Have you lost a significant funding source - government or private - recently? Do you need to find replacement funds fast? In this half-day workshop you will learn a process to identify your agency's assets and match them with fundraising methods that make sense for your organization. At the completion of the workshop participants will:

  • Know the funding profile of a healthy nonprofit.
  • Be able to prioritize fundraising techniques in terms of their effectiveness.
  • Identify their agency's unique assets and begin to match them with promising fundraising strategies.

Getting Your Board Up to Speed
Is your board enthusiastic about everything except fundraising? Do they agree--grimly--to fundraising goals and then fail to deliver? What can you do to energize volunteers if your organization doesn't have a history of board giving, let alone board getting? This workshop will offer solutions for this familiar predicament.

Fundraising Strategies and Techniques
This comprehensive course covers both the principles and practices of effective fundraising. It will give you the theoretical framework upon which to build a successful and ethical fund development effort. It also covers the practical application of fundamental principles in standard development practices.

Grant Writing 101
This workshop will break down and explore the basics of a well-written grant. You will learn about the different types of grant proposals, needs documentation, resource investigation and Internet research. This workshop will also examine the elements of a grant proposal: background information, executive summary, needs statement, project description, budget and organizational information.

Grant Research and Writing
This popular workshop uses a step-by-step approach to the entire grant process. It covers the research phase including identifying prospects and making the initial contact, the grantwriting phase including essential parts of an effective proposal and the post-proposal phase--so you'll know what to do while you're waiting for the grant maker to say "yes." Participants will write several sections of a proposal and present them to the class for a critique.

Fundraising and Development Strategies
To fund raise effectively, one needs a plan, a committed group of volunteers and a basic knowledge of the principles and techniques of fundraising. This workshop will give participants the basic tools they need to develop a successful fundraising plan.
